Hurricane Hundred presented by Little Caesars

About the Hurricane 100k

Welcome to the first ever Hurricane 100k, and the ONLY 100k, trail run in West Virginia brought to you by the City of Hurricane, Little Caesars and a host of local sponsors. Get ready to race for a total prize purse of $7,500! The Hurricane Hundred 100K Trail Race and Relay is 62 glorious miles on the Meeks Mountain Trails in Hurricane WV. Prizes: $7,500 purse! $1500 for 1st place male and female, $750 for second place male and female, and $375 for third place male and female. Top coed, female, and male relay teams also get $750 to split between the three runners. When: Saturday, September 10, 2022, starting at 6:00 am with a midnight cutoff. Where: Meeks Mountain Trails, Hurricane, WV. The race command center, crew pit, and team hangout will be in the back of the bowl at the shelter. The race is 100% single track mountain running on 10.3 mile loops. Solo runners will see their crew between each of the 6 laps. Who: For the heartiest of runners only. Run the 100k solo or as a three-person team doing 20+ miles each. Crew, family, and spectators are welcome to hangout and support their runners. There's a playground nearby and loads of open trails for hiking, biking, running, and exploring. Pacers: For solo runners, pacers are permitted for the last two loops. Swag: All runners receive a zip up sweatshirt jacket, finisher's stainless-steel pint along with a tote and various swag from sponsors. All 100k solo finishers, within the 18-hour time limit, will receive a Hurricane 100k belt buckle.

The race hotel is the Wingate by Wyndham is offering discounted hotel rates for our out of town guests. To book a room please call the Wingate directly at 681-220-2230 and simply say you will be in town for the Hurricane Hundred K at Meeks Mountain Trails. Hundred K Relay

The relay race is open to teams of three: an all-male team, an all-female team, and a coed team. There is a $750 prize for each team. Each runner will run two of the 10+ mile loops in whatever order the team decides. The race headquarter is perfect for teams and crews to relax and hangout while their teammates run. When registering, the team captain will register and pay for the entire team.

Pricing

Registration for the 100k is $130 between February 15 and March 14th, $150 from March 15th until June 14th, and $180 from June 15th to September 7th. Registration per team for the relay is $330 from February 15th through March 14th, $390 from March 15th through June 14th, and $420 from June 15th through September 7th. The team captain pays for the team upon registration. Registration is limited to 250 runners.
