Trail Sister Approved
We are a Trail Sisters-approved race and offer an equal opportunity for female runners with female-specific swag, equal podium spots and prize money, menstrual products at aid stations, and equal space at the starting line.
Hundred K Relay
The relay race is open to teams of three: an all-male team, an all-female team, and a coed team. Every team will be issued one chip. The chip must cross the finish line 6 times, and the handoff must occur at the finish/start line-not mid-trail. Teams will determine the order of runners and laps. The race headquarters is perfect for teams and crews to relax and hang out while their teammates run. When registering, the team captain will register and pay for the entire team. A female must run at least two of the six loops when running as a coed team.
Want to run the relay but need a full team? Contact us, and we'll help match you with other compatible runners to make your team.
Registration for the 100k is $110 until January 31st, $130 between February 1st and May 31st, and $150 from June 1st until September 2nd.
Registration per team for the relay is $85 per runner until January 31st, $100 from February 1st until May 31st, and $110 from June 1st until September 2nd. Each team member completes their registration.
Registration is limited to 150 runners.
This is a single-tract trail, and there are approximately 1300 feet of
climbing per loop for a total of 7,800 feet for the 100k. There are no
long hills, but there are plenty of small hills.
The mid-course aid station will be available approximately halfway through the
10.3-mile loop and there is one hydration-only station at mile 8.
The other aid station is at the beginning /end of each loop, which is the low
spot of the course. It's also the crew and relay area.
We call this course the OG. The course record for men is held by Alex Minor in 8:38:31, and for women, it is held by HollyAnn Swan in 9:31:32.
We will be at Hurricane City Park at the Big Red Barn on Friday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 and again on Saturday morning from 5:15 to 6:00 at the shelter's start line.
We’ll have two aid stations, one at the start/finish and one on the course. The on-course aid station will be accessible around mile 5 of the 10.3-mile loop. It will have water, electrolytes, Coke, ginger ale, plenty of ice, and a variety of sweet and salty food like fruit, cookies, candy, chips, pretzels, etc.
The central aid station has the same as above, plus popsicles, broth, ramen, tater tots, pancakes, and quesadillas (gluten-free and regular of those last two). Hot and Ready pizza from our friends at Little Caesars begins at 11:00. Crew and families are welcome to the pizza, donuts all day, and the ice cream in the afternoon. This start/finish and crew area is also where you’ll have access to your drop bags and crew, as well as porta pots with a ladies-only restroom. We do our best to take care of our ladies and trail sisters.
We can use you if you're interested in volunteering for part or all of the day. Follow this link and let us know how you'd like to help. Thank you!
