"For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."
- Romans 8:2
Hannah Ellison is a 19-year-old bike mechanic, Bike/Ski Patroller at Snowshoe, and EMT from Sissonville, West Virginia—where she was born and raised. Her journey into mountain biking began in 2020 when her mom discovered a pre-season NICA event at Meeks Mountain. Hannah decided to give it a try, and from her very first ride she was hooked. That day sparked a passion that continues to shape her life.

Within a single year, Hannah earned both her OEC certification for ski/bike patrolling and her EMT certification—an achievement she’s extremely proud of and one that reflects her dedication, discipline, and desire to help others.

Hannah comes from a lively, close-knit family, living with her parents and six energetic siblings. Their home is equally bustling with pets: one cat, two dogs, and a flock of twelve chickens. Outside of biking, Hannah enjoys playing music—especially piano—as well as snowboarding, hiking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Her love for Meeks Mountain Trails runs deep, and she joined the MMTA Junior Board to stay involved in every way she can. As a member, she hopes to bring fresh perspectives shaped by her unique experiences in patrolling, outdoor recreation, and community service.
For Hannah, trails make life better by offering community. Many of her closest friendships were formed on Meeks, and she treasures the connections built through shared rides and adventures. Biking remains her favorite trail activity—her preferred way to explore, decompress, and cover new ground. At Meeks, Coast 2R Coast is her go-to trail, while her all-time favorite is Lower Hareball at Snowshoe.

Her faith guides her both on and off the trail. A verse that inspires her is: “For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.” — Romans 8:2
