Careth Arnold: From Bangkok to the Big Leagues of Ultrarunning

In this episode, we sit down with Careth Arnold—an Altra-sponsored ultrarunner who brings boldness, heart, and authenticity to every race.

Born in Bangkok, Thailand, and now residing in Paonia, Colorado, Careth shares her journey from winning her first-ever trail race at the Swamp 30K in Florida to earning a Golden Ticket at Canyons 100K and finishing the iconic Western States 100.

Notably, Careth has secured at least six outright victories, beating the entire field—including the men.

She talks about embracing east coast humidity, life as a mom of two, her creative background, and why she’s excited to race in Hurricane, West Virginia, at the Hurricane Hundred K—a big-time race with small-town feels.

She even speaks a little Thai during the episode.

Careth is bold and infectious with a big heart—this is one you won’t want to miss.
